Weekend Outfits: Balenciaga Tempete Day Bag. Singlet and Maxi Skirt | Striped Dress

Here's what I wore on Saturday:
Casual weekend second trimester pregnancy outfit blue singlet black maxi skirt

Balenciaga tempete day bag SGH
NecklaceHouse of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
Top: Jeanswest 'Jenni' basic singlet in Hawaii blue (new purchase)
SkirtJeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: Cotton On thin strap thongs in black
Bracelets: the usual plus beaded turquoise and silver bracelet stack
BagBalenciaga giant hardware Day bag in 2009 tempete

Saturday I was lucky enough to get squeezed into a place to do more medical tests at late notice. Lots of tests is not the best way to start the day. Brekkie at McDonalds with Mum after, and then browsing baby stores with DH in the afternoon made sure that the day ended better! Wanted to be comfortable all day, so went with a singlet and maxi skirt.

Some days I feel like all I want to wear is this combination of maxi skirt and singlet! It's great in pregnancy, I even picked up a few more bright singlets in the Jeanswest sale. But I do have to go to work and I'm trying to put in a little bit of an effort to dress professionally there. Some of the ladies in the office made it look so easy during their pregnancies! Can't promise that I won't end up in this comfy 'uniform' every day as baby's due date gets nearer, but for now I am trying to enjoy dressing the bump in different ways and mix things up a little so it doesn't get too repetitive. :)

Last worn: black maxi skirt, thongs, Balenciaga tempete day bag. First time I've worn the top as it's a recent purchase.

Here's what I wore today:
Away from Blue three dots striped maxi dress balenciaga hobo bag baby bump

Balenciaga tempete storm blue day bag worn with stripe dress
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: Lovisa silver love knitted heart pendant necklace
DressThree Dots stripe maxi dress
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Balenciaga coated stud wrap bracelet in icy blue

Today's outfit was completely inspired by Londyn! My planned second day in a row maxi and singlet combo was put aside after she posted some pics of her rocking a striped dress and her adorable baby bump. I wanted to try and emulate her look. This is a similar dress I picked out, but I think it lacks the classy look of her outfit. Maybe I should have tried a belt? Was comfortable for a day of running errands and working at Church Online though.

Last worn: Ray Ban Wayfarers, stripe maxi dress, Havaianas, Balenciaga tempete day bag (see above).

Linking up with Sunday Style, Mix it Mondays, Manic Monday, Style Sessions today.

    1. Thanks Flora! :) I am definitely a fan of saving pennies on maternity wear and getting as much wear out of my regular clothes as possible....even if it does mean the last few months will be full of maxi skirts, hehe!

  4. Pretty as always and so well accessorized. How do you find HOH's necklace? I wanted to get it but fear that the chain is too fragile..

    1. The chain is thin, but definitely not fragile at all, I'm always pulling and tugging at it when I wear it, with no issues so far! :)

  7. I say YES to maxi dresses every single day lol You can alternate some crochet tops to cover the top section that way it gives a sense of different outfit and covers your arms up while in the AC office.

  13. I trying to think of pregnancy fashion advice for you but I just can't!! Thinking back on it all my friends who have been pregnant wore maxi skirts and singlets (it seems like you've joined the club :) ) and at my work we wear a uniform.

I adore your bracelet and bag combo! It's so sweet :)

I also learned a new word today from you: "singlet." I didn't realize we had a different word for that in the States. -Gina
