Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: custom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Dress: Vero Moda belted cotton dress
Belt: Louis Vuitton "comete" bandeau scarf worn as a belt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus enamel coated Marc By Marc Jacobs Katie bracelet
Bag: Mulberry regular Alexa bag in foggy grey
Had quite a busy Saturday! Spent the morning with my family. We had lunch and did some shopping, of course we ended up at a baby store. Baby has so many nice new things now, very spoiled already! So pleased that we are ticking off all of the essentials off the list. In the evening we went over to the in-laws for dinner.
Thought this dress would be nice enough for both events, and the scarf as a belt for a dress has been something I've been wanting to do again for a while after seeing Cecylia's post. When my mum came over I'd been running around trying to tidy a little, so I'd taken the scarf off. When I put it on before we headed out, she said she preferred the dress without the belt. I still belted it anyway, I thought it looked better that way. What do you think? With or without the belt?
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, brown cotton dress, Louis Vuitton bandeau as belt, Havaianas, Mulberry Alexa satchel.
Here's what I wore today:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: gifted floral print necklace
Tank: Jeanswest 'Jenni' basic singlet in festival fuchsia
Skirt: Target grey marle maxi skirt (new purchase)
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mulberry regular Alexa bag in foggy grey
More baby shopping today! Went with my mother in law this time, Babies R Us have a big sale on so we stopped by to check it out. Baby ended up with even more goodies! :)
This grey maxi skirt is the other one I bought at Target last weekend. I am really loving maxi skirts even more than I did before pregnancy, I think I've almost doubled the number I own! Thought the plain grey would be nice with the bright top. And my Mulberry Alexa bag yet again, as I've been too lazy to change out bags recently.
Last worn: Jeanswest tank, Havaianas (see above), Mulberry Alexa bag (see above). First time I've worn the skirt as it's a recent purchase.
Linking up with Sunday Style, Mix It Mondays, Manic Monday, Style Sessions today.
Both looks are great and oh yes it is hard not get carried away shopping for a baby!

Hmmm, I like the dress with the belt. Aha, and the fact that it's a scarf makes it even better! :)

You look great I really love the skirt!
ReplyDeleteHmm... there isn;t a photo of the dress without the belt for comparison. Is it empire waist with some elastic under the empire? So cute how you said baby is spoiled already. Is baby a girl or a boy or awaiting for the surprise?

Thanx for dropping by my blog and leaving me a comment. I love seeing newcomers here and I hope we could stay in touch.
I was in London for about a week. It was a London and Paris then back to London to catch a return flight so it adds up to almost a week and I still haven't visited so many places. It is definitely a city I would love to visit over and over again.
I can't even find a photo of the dress without a belt for you as I've always worn it belted - maybe next time I do need to try it without a belt! It's just a plain cotton dress, the empire effect is due to the baby bump :)
DeleteWill be a surprise in June!
I love the dress with the colourful belt!! Looking great. The first thing I thought was, oh, I like the belt. :D
ReplyDeletehehe, thank you :)
DeleteHello Mica,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wishes. You look radiant and it seems like the pregnancy has put a smile on your face. Can't wait to find more about your little baby :)
Sometimes I feel like you are in the US because you are visiting and shopping from the same stores.
xoxo, Teodora
Thank you! We are looking forward to meeting baby very much :)
DeleteI love the maxi dress with a high waisted belt! The embellishment is tribal inspired! Very cute! Next time out a headband in your hair and some gladiator flats viola! Nicole Ricci esque Mica ❤️❤️❤️

Hehe I'm sure your baby is being spoiled already too! :D
DeleteAs long as the bump doesn't stretch everything out too much, I should be able to wear everything here after pregnancy too! :)
Love the scarf you added as a belt! It's such a fun pop of color! And I wouldn't want to change out bags, that one is such a great color!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting is that, going baby shopping?? Must have been so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI reallllly love the first outfit - I think the belt looks just fine. In fact it was one of the first things I noticed in your outfit because it's so pretty! You look lovely!

Thank you Kim :)
DeleteYou look so pregnant chic! Everything looks plain sailing and happy but I bet pregnancy has its downs. This look is so effortless. I think you are very much entitled to excessive shopping for a person that has not entered the world yet, very much like I am entitled to buy something for mr dog every time we go out. Thank you for visiting me by the way! Rosemary

Hehe my dog is very spoiled also! It's going to be fun coming home with little treats for puppy and his sibling when baby arrives! :)

ReplyDeleteMuch Love xoxo
the colour combo of the second outfit is so interesting! really brings out the colour of the mulberry - it's such a beautiful share of dark plum grey. i'm inspired to go through the depths of my closet now, i swear i have something in that colour somewhere!
ReplyDeletesteph / absolutely-fuzzy.com
It is a great colour! Not really lilac, not really grey. Looks nice with so many things! :)
DeleteYour fuchsia tank is a gorgeous color! I like it balanced with a neutral such as your grey skirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's nice to pair brights with neutrals :)
