Red Printed Top, Black Skinny Jeans, Balenciaga Coquelicot Velo | Stripe Tank, Maxi Skirt, Bal Sorbet City Bag

Here's what I wore to work on Monday:
black skinny pants printed tank for the office red balenciaga bag

balenciaga coquelicot velo bag
NecklaceDogeared 3 Wishes stardust bead necklace layered with Dogeared silver wishbone necklace
Tank: gifted Emerson crochet lace bib print top
Pants: Jeanswest maternity skinny jeans in black (new purchase)
ShoesWittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Marc by Marc Jacobs enamel turnlock stripey hinge black and white bangle, Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
BagBalenciaga Coquelicot Velo

Bought these jeans a while back with my last Jeanswest sale purchase. I had tried them on in store early on after outgrowing my previous jeans, and knew that they would easily pass for plain black pants at work throughout the pregnancy. A stressful Monday full of meetings seemed like the best time to wear them!

This top is a new arrival too, my mum kindly bought it for me on our recent shopping trip. It has plenty of wiggle room for the bump. Had originally kept it as a new red top for our Chinese New Year dinner, but as I didn't wear it then I thought I'd wear it Monday.

Last worn: black flats, Balenciaga coquelicot velo bag. First time I've worn the top and pants.

Here's what I wore today:
summer pregnancy outfit striped tank black maxi skirt pink balenciaga bag second trimester

balenciaga sorbet pink city bag
Sunglasses: pink leopard print sunglasses from Paddy's Markets in Sydney
Necklace: Lovisa silver love knitted heart pendant necklace
Top: Glassons striped tank in silver marle and white
SkirtJeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Balenciaga classic double tour bracelet in pearly grey
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Worked from home today as I had a check up with the doctor to monitor baby T's progress. Picked a simple casual outfit to wear. Elastic waist maxi skirts are incredibly comfortable for the bump, a tip I picked up from a colleague a while back. Expect to see a lot more maxi skirts over the coming months!

I haven't yet figured out how to wear the rest of my non-elasticated skirts though, they either have to sit above or below the bump, making them too short or in danger of falling down, haha. Do I need to put all of my fixed waist skirts in the "after baby arrives" storage box, or is there some trick I'm missing to be able to wear them with a bump? Let me know if you have any experience or tips! :)

Last worn: pink leopard sunnies, grey/white stripe tank, black jersey maxi skirt, Havaianas, Balenciaga sorbet city.

  1. That first top is absolutely fabulous!
I think you need to put the skirts in the storage box. My cousin had problems with it too!

  5. I do love your red printed top - and I suppose that is a big problem with most skirts. But I'm sure there are plenty of dresses in your closet you can still wear without problem!

  17. Great to hear Jeanswest is doing maternity jeans now. Sorry to hear Monday was stressful. Sorry I don't have any tips for a fixed waist skirt while you are pregnant. That's a tricky one. I stuck with maternity clothes once I got to a certain size. Speaking of size, your bub seems to be growing very nicely every day :D

    1. Thanks Susannah! I'm so happy with the maternity range at Jeanswest, it's keeping me comfortable! :)
I'm trying to avoid buying too many maternity clothes for as long as possible - will see how that goes, as I'm already feeling the pinch of not having 'enough' skirts!

  18. The red top is lovely and flowing, good and comfy for the little Bump. I have never had a bump, but can imagine it would be funny working out just how to wear soft stretchy waistlines! Above, around or below!!! Lol. Xx

  22. I grew up with the tradition of wearing something new and red on the first day of CNY! And those black skinnies can definitely go with anything! I just got a new pair of black skinnies--I'd had one pair for years, and lets just say that after being washed countless times, they were no longer black. :P

  35. Maxi dresses and skirts are best while pregnant. While I was pregnant I wore a lot of my Pencil Skirts over the baby bump, left the zipper undone in the back and wore longer tops with them. They weren't too short for work.

Your red tank is so pretty. Love it. And as always beautiful handbags and bracelets. I dig your collections for both. =)
