Belted Striped Dress, Pink Accessories, Balenciaga Sorbet City | Purple Tee, Asos Maternity Pencil Skirt, Mulberry Alexa Bag

Here's what I wore to work on Tuesday:

Sunglasses: pink leopard print sunglasses from Paddy's Markets in Sydney
Necklace: gifted beaded statement necklace from local markets
DressJeanswest 'Rita' stripe jersey dress
BeltAsos Metal Keeper super skinny belt in pink
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes pink clic clacMarc by Marc Jacobs enamel turnlock stripey hinge black and white bangle
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Stood in front of my wardrobe trying to find something to wear for quite a while, in the end decided to go simple and wear a dress. Haven't worn this one for a couple months, and figured I should wear it before the fitted waist gets too restrictive to wear. Ended up adding a lot of pink accessories too, just seemed like the easiest choice. Had to facilitate a big meeting Tuesday afternoon so simple and comfortable was a winner.

I really like this beautiful statement necklace paired with stripes, I've worn it that way a lot. My bestie always gets me incredible gifts! :)

Thank you for all of your advice and suggestions in my last post when I asked about wearing pencil skirts in pregnancy! Today I decided to try the skirt with the top tucked in, next time I'll have to try some of the other suggestions like shorter tops and belts.

Had wanted to try and recreate this outfit pairing today, but although the skirt has an elasticated waistband, it's just not got enough give in it to accommodate the belly. I changed it for this asos maternity skirt instead. The combination of the print on the skirt and the tucked in top really seemed to emphasise the bump. It generated a lot of attention today and every now and then made me think I might have been better off wearing the tee untucked. It's fun being able to try different things and learning different ways to dress during pregnancy though. I'm grateful for every day as I know it will be no time at all until the bump is gone and I'm cradling baby in my arms :)

  1. You look gorgeous with the bump silhouette! I say when you feel like it, style it as part of your outfit. :D gorgeous pink with the strip look, too.

  4. I almost always wear my shirts tucked into my pencil skirts too :-) I have a really long torso, and my outfits look more "proportionate" that way, haha. I like how much the second outfit accentuates your beautiful (and fast growing!) belly. You looked amazing! xo

    1. Thank you Nikki! I'm a shortie so I wonder sometimes if it looks too disproportionate on me..but it was fun to try! Really makes me see the difference before and during pregnancy, haha.

  7. I love it how you want to show off your bump! Especially like you said it will be gone before you know it :)
Also love the belting over the bump in look one! Is it uncomfortable at all? That's the only question I have (have not have kids yet so excuse for this silly question lol)

    1. I had tried a belt on an outfit before and took it off pretty quickly as it was uncomfortable, but I wore this one quite loose (the bump kept it in place, haha) and it was okay. Might try another belted outfit, will see how it goes :)
