Chambray Shift Dress, Skull Scarf | Printed Tank, Colour Block Maxi Skirt

Two more outfits as I'm enjoying the warmer spring weather and taking the chance to get out of the house with baby T, now that he's better.

Here's what I wore to go to the doctors:
Sunglasses: Cotton On 'Risky Business' sunglasses in sky blue
ScarfAlexander McQueen modal skull scarf in white/pink
DressEzra chambray shift dress (on sale here)
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs

Headed out to the doctors again with baby T for another check-up. Wore a shift dress as it was a warm day, but added a scarf for a little bit of colour. As I was babywearing, I wanted something simple and lightweight. It can get a little hot on warm days with baby strapped to me!

Picked the pink scarf as I really like the combination of blue and pink together. Hoping I can keep wearing my scarves for a little longer as we move into spring. I feel I didn't make the most of winter fashion-wise as I was indoors with baby a lot. Much more fun, but it did mean I didn't wear as many winter clothes as usual! I bought this dress back in winter, and it was hard to get a lot of wear out of it then, but it is going to be reached for a lot now in spring when I don't have to layer.

Last worn: blue sunnies, pink skull scarf, chambray shift dress, Havaianas.

Here's what I wore to have a picnic at the beach:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Tank: Emerson crochet lace bib print top
SkirtAsos colour block maxi skirt in red (on sale!)
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs

Since baby T was feeling a lot better, we went out for a family picnic at the beach. It was a wonderful day, so nice to get outside into the sunshine and relax. Perfect public holiday weather, and Baby T had his first play in the sand too! He loved it.

I thought that the red in this printed tank would look nice with the red colour block skirt. I liked the combination of the skirt and a printed top last time too. So glad that I purchased this skirt, it's becoming one of my go-to pieces! The only thing I didn't like about this outfit was the fact that I forgot my sun hat - luckily we set up the picnic blanket in some shade.

This is the first time I've worn the tank without a baby bump! Looking up the last time I wore thins and seeing my pregnancy photos is rather fun. Last time I wore this tank I was in the third trimester and taking advantage of its loose style to fit my growing bump. It's nice to be able to wear it tucked in now for a change, I didn't have that option while pregnant.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, crochet detail tank, ombre maxi skirt, Havaianas (see above).

Star Print Shirt, Metallic Skinny Jeans | Purple Tee, Stripe Maxi Skirt

The last two of my Fox in Flats September Style Dare outfits!

Here's what I wore to my mother's group:
Sparkes Zara star print shirt Sass&Bide metallic skinny jeans
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklacevintage gold initial necklace
Shirt: thrifted Zara star print shirt
JeansSass and Bide 'Three Words' metallic gold jeans
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs

The style challenge for the day was "Sparkles". As I don't have anything covered in sequins, I thought about my star print top or the metallic jeans, then thought about wearing both together. When I put it on I wasn't sure if it was too much, the star print and the shiny jeans. But I figured the point of participating in style dares is to try something different and wear something you wouldn't usually, so I happily wore both out to my mother's group with baby.

Sadly, I didn't get a chance to wear this outfit anywhere after the mother's group. Right as we were about to leave, baby T felt unwell, and my clothes copped it. Had to throw them in the laundry right away! It was a fun outfit to wear for a few hours though. If I hadn't had the challenge, I definitely would have picked a different top.

Last worn: Wayfarers, star print blouse, metallic skinny jeans, Havaianas.

Here's what I wore to go to the doctors and spend time with family:
Post Baby Outfit Purple tee striped jersey maxi skirt casual SAHM
TeeJeanswest 'Lucy' colourblock tee in orchid/grey marle
SkirtTarget black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs

This was the last of the style dare outfits I managed to photograph for the blog (I played every day on instagram but didn't always get a blog photo). Kinda fitting in with the "all black" challenge with a black maxi skirt, but only by chance. I wore this a few days after the mother's group outfit above, when my mum and sister came over for the day to help me take care of baby T. We had planned a girly day out shopping, but with baby still being unwell, we couldn't really go anywhere. We are blessed to have so many family and friends who will help us care for baby and work around his needs.

This maxi skirt and tee combination is what I put together to look presentable enough to have people over, go out to the doctors, and still be comfortable enough to take care of a sick baby. I had time to take a photo too with all the help I had, so grateful. I actually wore this combination for a few days - changing the top and skirt as needed while I looked after baby T. Partly because all of my jeans were quickly added to the laundry pile, and partly because maxi skirts feel as comfortable as pyjamas when you need to grab a quick nap as baby naps! And my pyjamas were piling up in the laundry too.....

I thought life with baby was messy, but life with a sick baby is so much worse. Really happy baby T is back to normal now!

Last worn: purple tee, striped maxi skirt, Havaianas (above).

Star Print, Purple Skinny Jeans | Grey Tee, Colour Block Maxi Skirt

Two more Fox In Flats style dare outfits from September!

Here's what I wore to go out for the day with baby T:
NecklaceDogeared silver wishbone necklace
Tee: Star and galaxy print boxy tee from my sisters wardrobe
JeansJeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs

Took baby T for his regular checkup with our local child health nurse, and then went shopping with my mother in law. The style dare for the day was "borrowed", so I thought this tee was a good choice. It's a hand me down from my sister's wardrobe, from a pile of clothes she let me look through before she donated them. More 'taken' than 'borrowed', but I thought it fit the theme. The print and the label are quite worn so I don't know the brand, she bought it on one of her overseas trips. It's really soft and comfortable, and I like the galaxy print.

As well as looking pretty, the print came in extremely helpful! The day started out well and I even had time for a photo, but of course I ended up running late. Baby had a little burp as I picked him up over my shoulder, just as my mother in law arrived to take us out for the day. As we had an appointment with the nurse, I didn't have time to check to see if more than the floor got a little something on it. No-one said a thing and it wasn't until I got home that I realised I had milky dribble down my shoulder. Turns out, baby spit-up looks a lot like the star and galaxy print from a distance! A very helpful tee for life with baby ;)

Last worn: purple skinny jeans, Havaianas. First time I've worn the tee.

Here's what I wore to go out for coffee and cake:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
TeeAtmos&Here grey v-neck tee with rolled sleeves
Belt: C/O Poppywinkle brown weave belt
SkirtAsos colour block maxi skirt in red (on sale!)
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats

This is what I wore when the style dare was "braided". Although my hair is long enough to braid, I'm constantly having a bad hair day as I haven't seen the hairdresser since before baby was born! Thought that a braided belt would be a bitter idea, and maybe a little unexpected.

As the maxi skirt is gathered and has a bit of volume on it, I'd normally go for a more form fitting tee. And that's what I imagined paired with the skirt when I bought it. But I've worn it with voluminous tops before and it looked so good I wanted to wear it again. And you can never go wrong with a grey tee. This is one of my favourite outfits, it was perfect for a morning out and indulging in some cake.

Last worn: Wayfarers, grey tee, braided belt, colour block maxi skirt, metallic mouse flats.
