Sharing what I wore to go to some mums and bubs meet ups with other local mums :)
Here's what I wore to go to a mummy meet up in the park:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Asos pastel Aztec print scarf (on sale!)
Tee: Atmos&Here grey Arizona zip tee (on sale!)
Jeans: Jeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
I wore this pretty pastel print scarf with purple last time too! I think the pastel colours pair nicely with purple. The previous few times I've worn this scarf I wondered if its big blanket size was too overwhelming on me, but it came in handy for a rather chilly trip to the local park with baby. The slightly windy morning got progressively colder and windier as the day went on, leading to the mummy meet up in the park being postponed and a cold baby T and I stopping for a nice hot chocolate on the way home to warm up again. I really should have worn a jacket, but it didn't seem too cold when I got ready so I thought the scarf would be enough.
Although I still think the scarf is rather large on my petite frame, it does look nice with the skinny jeans and does keep me warm :) At $7.60, it's not a bad cost-per wear even if I don't wear it a forth time this year.
Last worn: Ray-Ban wayfarers, Asos pastel scarf, grey tee, purple skinny jeans, gold mouse flats, Marc by Marc Jacobs baby bag.
Here's what I wore to go to my mother's group today:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Seed Heritage Paisley print snood
Dress: French Connection Meadow jersey maxi dress in black
Shoes: Wittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
This was taken a few days after the outfit photo above, and the cold and wind had made way for a really nice sunny day. I even ended up taking the scarf off on the way home in the hot afternoon.
This scarf seems to have come to a lot of my mother's group meet ups! I wore it to go to the previous mothers's group meeting also. I thought about that as I put the outfit together, but decided to wear the scarf anyway. I really liked this scarf worn with my purple maxi dress, so although it's not very original, I had been looking forward to repeating the combination again with this black maxi dress.
It's inevitable with a finite budget and wardrobe space that I'll repeat certain combinations and items of clothing. It's a fact of life for most people :) I am pleased to see that I'm coming up with other outfit combinations that aren't jeans and a tee though. For a long time that combination made up the majority of my outfits, and I was a little worried I might end up choosing nothing but denim during my maternity leave. While I do slip back into the old jeans and a tee habit now and then, I'm trying to make the most of my wardrobe and wear more of what I own.
Last worn: wayfarers (see above), paisley print snood, jersey maxi dress, black flats, MbMJ baby bag (see above).

Maxi Skirts in Spring - Florals, Stripes, Denim and Hearts
At last, I'm caught up with the current season and sharing some Spring outfits! Have been a bit behind with blogging lately, having too much fun with baby T :)
Here's what I wore to head to the shops with baby T:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Tank: no label floral and lace top
Skirt: Asos colour block maxi skirt in red (on sale!)
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Baby T had a lovely long nap in the morning, which was helpful as I was fussing around my wardrobe wondering what to wear and taking longer than usual to decide. I knew I wanted to wear this pretty maxi skirt, but couldn't settle on a nice top. When I saw this floral one I thought it was too perfect - florals for the first day of spring! It was still a little chilly though, so the denim jacket was needed.
DH complimented my outfit when he got home that afternoon, so it was a winner in my book.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, denim jacket, floral tank, colour block maxi skirt, metallic mouse flats.
Here's what I wore to spend the day with my mum:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Stella McCartney heart print scarf
Tee: Spectrum basic v-neck tee in grey marl
Skirt: Target black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
This was another "I don't know what to wear" day, this time because I had to dress for two very different events! My sister and I had been nominated for the ALS ice bucket challenge, so while I wanted to be comfortable for a day out with my mum, I also needed to be wearing something that would stand up to having a bucket of water thrown over me. "What to wear for an ice bucket challenge?" is not something I'd normally ask of my wardrobe, so it took me a while to come up with an outfit!
Ended up with a grey tee and maxi skirt, with a nice scarf to add a bit of colour and some print mixing during the cooler morning. Was really comfortable all day for being out with baby, and minus the scarf it worked well when I got a bucket of ice water poured over me in the evening!
Last worn: Wayfarers (see above), heart print scarf, grey tee, striped maxi skirt, Converse.

Grey Tee, Pink Leopard Print Jeans | Tie Dye Maxi Dress, Blue Cardi
Here's what I wore to spend the day with my mum and sister:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Alexander McQueen modal skull scarf in white/pink
Tee: Grey v-neck tee with rolled sleeves (new purchase)
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
I like pairing pink and grey together as much as I do pink and blue! Very happy to be able to squeeze back into these jeans post-baby, they are such a fun statement pair. I used to have a grey leopard print jean as well, but I donated those and held onto these.
I wasn't too sure about the print on the scarf worn with the jeans, but my sister told me it looked okay. Glad I listened to her, I really liked this outfit. We went out to have lunch at the bayside, so the scarf was a good extra little something to kept the chill off. It was baby T's first time by the sea, but he was asleep for most of it, cuddled up with his auntie in the baby carrier. Such a lovely day, and a great lunch.
Last worn: Wayfarers, skull scarf, leopard print skinnies, mouse flats, Marc Jacobs baby bag. First time I've worn the tee as it's a new purchase.
Here's what I wore to have a friend over:
Sunglasses: Cotton On 'Risky Business' sunglasses in sky blue
Cardi: Jeanswest long blue drape cardigan
Dress: Jeanswest 'Elodie' tie dye grey jersey maxi dress
Shoes: Nine West fascinate ballet flats in silver glitter
I love looking back and seeing the baby bump when I look up the last time I wore things. When I last wore this dress I was 39 weeks pregnant!
One of the ladies in my mother's group is starting up her own skincare business, and was looking for guinea pigs to practice on. I jumped at the chance for a pamper session! My mother in law and I had a really nice morning at home getting a free facial.
Ended up with a very blue outfit! Just wanted something easy to wear as I was really tired as baby T had been a little grouchy overnight, so wore a maxi dress with a cardi for warmth. Last time I wore a similar longline cardi with a maxi skirt I didn't like the way it looked, but I thought it looked nice left untied with the maxi dress this time. Maybe as the maxi dress has that elasticated section? Comfortable and practical outfit for a pamper session anyway :)
Last worn: blue sunglasses, blue cardigan, grey tie dye maxi dress, glitter flats.
